Finbarr Dowling, Project Director; SiemensFinbarr Dowling Resized

In July 2014 Finbarr was appointed Project Director for the development and construction of the harbour, blade manufacturing and service facility at Alexandra Dock, Hull. The overall project has a combined investment of £310 million and will create up to 1,000 new jobs for Siemens in the UK.  Following construction, the facility at Green Port Hull will be operational in late 2016 with blade production from early 2017.

Prior to this Finbarr has experience in leading and developing teams with a strong focus on productivity, innovation and manufacturing excellence having previously held senior roles in operations and general management within both manufacturing and service businesses for Siemens in the UK over the past 20 years. Most recently he was the Managing Director of the award winning Siemens Motion Control factory in Congleton from 2009 to 2014.  That site employed 500 people and was responsible globally for the R&D, Manufacture and Customer Service of variable speed drives.

The Plant in Congleton was recognised by EFQM in 2014 for its excellence, winning two prizes – Leading with visions, inspiration & integrity//Developing organisational capabilities.

Paul Litten; Commercial Director, Humber LEPPaul Litten Resized

Paul Litten, Humber LEP Investment & Regulation board member and lead on transport sub group. Paul is also a non executive director of Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce.

Up until recently Paul was commercial director for Humberside International airport, and helped secure some £17,000,000 of inward investment to further improve the airports infrastructure and aviation growth. This included a new search and rescue base, Hilton Hotel and British Aerospace Maintenance training academy. Further he secured additional helicopter operators, making the airport the second largest airport based heliport in the UK.
