After graduating from the University of Reading Mark joined Teesland (part of Scarborough Group) in 1995. He moved in 2002 to join one of Scarborough’s development partners, the housebuilder Gladedale Group, becoming a director of a number of companies within the Group and Managing Director of its mixed use division, ‘Reland’. Mark re-joined Scarborough Group in January 2010 as the company relaunched itself into property development in the UK. Jon Kenny; Development Director, Commercial Estates Group Jon, a chartered surveyor, joined CEG in 2001 to establish the development business as Development Director. He now oversees the development team who work from 4 regional offices and manage a portfolio of mixed use regeneration schemes across the UK with an end value in excess of £3bn. Jon also sits on the BURA Strategic Development Forum advising on regeneration and planning issues. Ben Marston, Director; Jestico+Whiles (on behalf of Carillion Tower Works) An award winning architect, Ben leads the practice’s work in workplace and education design. He also has expertise in housing, retail and special projects. Ben is a talented designer and has worked on a range of prestige projects for the practice. He led the Jestico+Whiles team which won the HCA competition for the Tower Works site in Leeds for Carillion. Ben is currently working on a wide range of projects including the complex refurbishment of a commercial office tower in Central London into offices for a high-profile tenant, and the refurbishment of the Grade II listed Lansdowne Club off Berkeley Square. Craig Burrow; Director, Bruntwood Craig joined Bruntwood in 2007 after several years working in the Leeds offices of Sanderson Weatherall and DTZ, dealing with all aspects of office agency and development across the Yorkshire markets. Since joining the company, Craig has been closely involved with the expansion of the Leeds portfolio, including the acquisitions of 14 King Street, City House and 100 Wellington Street. He has also been instrumental in driving and maintaining Bruntwood’s high occupancy rates, attracting numerous new occupiers and directing the Leeds team in the delivery of the high Bruntwood standards of building operation and customer service. Craig is currently involved in bringing forward two exciting major developments for the city at Sovereign Square and City House. Married with two young children, Craig spends his spare time with his family and enjoys travelling and many outdoor activities.
