Speakers

James joined The Crown Estate in March 2009 as Head of St James’s and the Regional Portfolio and has played a key role in driving activity in these areas – developing the business’s joint venture partnerships with Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP), Oxford Properties and most recently Gingko Tree, and re-positioning the Regional portfolio towards dominant prime retail.

Before joining The Crown Estate, James spent over 10 years as a fund manager at Norwich Union/Morley Fund Management. James will continue with as Head of St James’s.

James holds a 2:1 degree in Land Management, is a member of the IPF and has passed the full IMC.

Robin trained as a Civil Engineer before becoming a Chartered Surveyor with Davis Langdon, involved in the delivery of city offices before joining Hammerson in 1997.

Since joining, he has been involved in the development delivery of all Hammerson retail led mixed use city regeneration projects, including The Oracle, Reading; Bullring, Birmingham; Cabot Circus, Bristol; Highcross, Leicester and Union Square, Aberdeen.

Robin has been responsible for the delivery of Cabot Circus, a £500m mixed use regeneration project in Bristol, which opened in September 2008 and Union Square retail redevelopment in Aberdeen.

Robin now leads the development team and has been responsible for bringing forward the future retail developments for Hammerson since 2009.  Projects on site include leisure extension to Silverburn in Glasgow; the Victoria Gate, Leeds retail and leisure arcade; together with the Watermark, Southampton catering and leisure project.  In addition, responsibility for bringing forward pipeline projects for Hammerson of Croydon, Brent Cross and asset extensions.

Robin sits on the CR Board for Hammerson.

Victoria is a chartered town planner with 20 years post-graduate experience, with the last 13 working for the Mayor or London. She has recently appointed as the permanent Chief Executive Officer to lead the Corporation.  This exciting new role sees Victoria utilising her planning, transport and programme management expertise to drive forward the transformation of Old Oak and Park Royal, London’s largest regeneration project.  Using her transport expertise she’ll seek to maximise the benefits of the significant rail investment at Old Oak, most notably the High Speed 2, Crossrail and Great West Main Line ‘super-hub’ stations.
