Richard Fagg; Deputy Managing Director; Bouygues DevelopmentRichard Fagg Resized

Richard’s emphasis in this new role is to crystallise Bouygues Development’s approach in a number of new strategic initiatives. These build upon our existing core sectors whilst exploring new market opportunities.

In whichever sector or market he is involved, Richard believes passionately in partnership and true development sustainability. His considerable experience, enthusiasm and creativity help to optimise not only the financial viability of schemes but also the social and economic outcomes for the local communities involved. This led him to become a Community Governor for Hallsville Primary School and Scott Wilkie Primary School in Canning Town.

Mike Luddy; Managing Director, Royal Docks Management AuthorityMike Luddy Resized

Mike Luddy was appointed Managing Director of the Royal Docks in mid 2011 following a change in remit of the organisation he leads – RODMA. Set up originally as a management and maintenance company responsible for looking after the largest enclosed docks in the world (the Royal Docks) Mike and his organisation now work actively alongside other partners in the Royal Docks focussing on creating and implementing a number of significant regeneration projects that will transform the area.

Prior to joining the Royal Docks Mike held a number of senior roles including a period at LOCOG helping London 2012 define its Spectator experience for the Olympic park with a remit of improving the commercial performance during the games.

Mike also spent four years as Chief Commercial Officer at London’s Gatwick Airport leading the Airport through the £1.2bn sale to Global Infrastructure Partners.

However perhaps most relevant to his current role is the five years he spent at London Continental Railways where he was Project Director for the rebuilding of St Pancras Station and was responsible for the creation of its ground-breaking operational and commercial model as “Europe’s Destination Station”. Mike led a team overseeing the £800m restoration of this iconic building through to the Royal Opening in November 2007. St Pancras continues to thrive and is a station which generates five times more spend per visitor than any other in Europe. Importantly the stations restoration was at the heart of the overall regeneration of the Kings Cross area which has transformed what was previously one of London’s less attractive zones.

Paul Brickell; Executive Director of Regeneration & Community Partnerships, London LegacyPaul Brickell Resized

Paul trained as a molecular biologist, set up and led a research group studying embryonic development and leukaemia and was from 1995 to 2002 Professor of Molecular Hematology at the Institute of Child Health at Great Ormond Street Hospital, University College London, where he established a highly successful interdisciplinary childhood cancer research department.

Paul completed a career change in 2002 in order to contribute to the gathering regeneration of his “home town” of east London, first as Director of Regeneration and Chief Executive of the Bromley by Bow Centre and then as Chief Executive of Leaside Regeneration.   He contributed to the early visioning of the Lower Lea Valley and to the delivery of new homes; physical infrastructure such as road, canal and railway crossings and a new station; small business workspace; parks and green spaces; and new facilities for primary health and social care. The strong, practical involvement of people from local communities was central to this work and the programme provided many opportunities for local people to improve their skills, get jobs and develop small businesses.

Paul joined the London Legacy Development Corporation as Executive Director of Regeneration and Community Partnerships in October 2011.  The Development Corporation’s role is to maximize legacy for east London and east Londoners by promoting the physical, social, environmental and economic regeneration of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and the surrounding area.
