A redevelopment of Redcliffe Wharf in Bristol is set to revolutionise the area – offering stylish homes and offices. The scheme, by Complex Development Projects Ltd, will see 36 homes, 4,816 sq m of office space and a 183-capacity car park will be developed. The site is located in the heart of Bristol – just 5 minutes walk from Temple Meads Station, and a short walk to numerous bars, shopping facilities and restaurants in both Harbourside and the City Centre.

We’ll be hearing from Ian Harrabin MBE, Managing Director at Complex Development Projects, will be speaking at our South West Development Plans Conference on the 1st March – and the project is set to be one of the things to be discussed in his presentation.

After several failed planning applications over the last few years CDP have now received the go-ahead which will see the currently derelict site be transformed. Two historical buildings on the site will be refurbished and protected, whilst an additional four homes will be built. Developers also plan to maintain 12 mooring berths and construct a new ferry landing stage.

The buildings are set to be surrounded by a series of high quality public spaces which will be actively managed and used as an event space. The project has been designed to encourage pedestrian visitors and for those visitors to then stay on site with a range of uses and the attraction of alfresco dining. The mix of dining facilities, craft workshops and waterfront activity will create a vibrant atmosphere for the high quality offices and residential apartments. The site also provides a new access point to the adjacent green amenity space in the Quaker Gardens and a link between the harbour side and Redcliffe Way.

Ian Harrabin said of the scheme: ”The detailed application is the result of many years’ work. We’ve been in discussions with Bristol City Council for the last four years and have worked closely with them to deliver a well-designed and pragmatic scheme.” Work is expected to begin in 2018 with the site being fully functional by late 2019.

Join us at the South West Development Plans Conference to learn more about the project and future opportunities Complex Development Projects have lined up.
