Plans for a major apartment scheme in Bedminster and an adjacent multi-storey car park have been recommended for approval.

The prime site, to the south of Bristol city centre, is being brought forward for development by Dandara Living who’ll be sharing details of the plans and other schemes in the area at our upcoming West of England Development Conference. [emaillocker id=”71749″]

Lying between the vibrant East Street high street and the A38 / Malago Road the site is only a 5-minute walk from Bedminster station and 25 from the Bristol Temple Meads station.

Build-to-Rent (BtR) apartments will be delivered across two buildings featuring a mix of studio, one and two bedroom apartments with parking and additional facilities will include an Amazon delivery drop-off, gym, residents lounge and commercial space.

The firm has revised plans from their initial plans – now seeking permission to demolition existing buildings on land to the east. The new homes will range in height from four to 16 storeys. The main building will contain almost 300 BtR apartments with the smaller building offering 21 affordable apartments.

Overall, the application is considered to be in accordance with the development plan and is recommended for approval subject to conditions and obligations. [/emaillocker]
