CEG Leeds Kirkstall Forge Arup Report

Around 3,400 new jobs could be created in Leeds from the ambitious Kirkstall Forge development by CEG, a new report has found. The results of the report highlight the importance of the major development – which also highlights the ability of the scheme to deliver tens of millions of pounds worth of skills, training and apprenticeship opportunities over the next 10 years.
CEG’s £400m project, which will be a focus of the Leeds Development Plans event in November where they’re set to speak, is set to the South of the City – on the edge of the River Aire. The development will be a mixed use scheme of both office and residential builds which include:

  • 57 acres of development land
  • 1,050 homes
  • 300,000 sq ft of commercial spaceR
  • 100,000 sq ft of leisure and retail
  • Railway station
  • Primary school

The report reads: ”CEG has a proven track record of delivery through working in partnership with the public sector and a genuine commitment to supporting local people to access opportunities.”
