In recent years a number of ambitious development projects and plans have been brought forward across Portsmouth and Hampshire – and there has been a number of requests for us to return to the region in 2020. That’s why we’re back, and the agenda is set to be impressive, with multi-million and multi-billion pound schemes set to be discussed alongside hours of networking enabling you to connect and make commercially rewarding relationships with key decision makers in the region. Portsmouth City Council / Tipner West – the £1bn Tipner West is the largest development scheme Portsmouth has ever seen. They’re planning to transform a 140-acre peninsula (Hornsea Island) creating a thriving car-free community with 4,000 new homes, 1m sq ft of marine employment space and more.

Countryside Properties – the firm is working on plans for a new 1,000 home community development on a 189-acre site and they’re looking to submit for outline planning permission in mid-2020. At this event they’ll be sharing intel on this scheme, looking to engage with firms who could help deliver the project, and give info on future projects too.

South East Hampshire Rapid Transit – Pam will be talking about the proposed £1.28 billion South East Hampshire Rapid Transit scheme; a brand new travel system built to connect communities, and new information is set to be revealed shortly. The first phase of work will be for £320m of infrastructure works over a 3-year period. The plan in the longer-term is to unlock 14 development sites. 17,750 new homes. 306,000 sq m of employment floor space by 2036. The exact details of the scheme will be announced early in 2020

St Modwen – David will be discussing their latest plans to create an 11.3-acre business park in Basingstoke with work expected to start on three speculative units totalling 200,000 sq ft in the second quarter of 2020. Alongside this David will also talk about plans for a new retail development on the site of the former Debenhams store in Farnborough. The plans for the site in Kingsmead involve demolishing part of the old Debenhams and replacing it with a mix of shops and flats over 10 floors.

The VIP Dinner will run between 19:30-22:00 with private dining at a top restaurant (Michelin starred if available). The restaurant will be close to the conference venue with a maximum of 25 VIP guests in total. The dinner will be a relaxed and formal setting with a managed conversation from the dinner host.
