  • Family homes
  • Bungalows

Karbon Homes – who’re speaking at next weeks North East Development Conference – has worked with architects IDPartnership on the masterplan – which has now been given the green light by Sunderland City Council. Homes England, Portland Consulting Engineers and Elliott Associates have also planned a crucial role in getting the project ready for development in early 2020.

The project is part of a wider pipeline as Karbon Homes look to invest £44m and build over 300 homes in Sunderland as the council looks to achieve their ambition of building thousands of new homes across the city over the next 10 years to hit their housing targets.

Ged Walsh, Director of Development and Asset Management at Karbon Homes, said: “This project represents a significant commitment from us to developing affordable, high quality homes in the city of Sunderland. Adding together this project in North Hylton, alongside a further seven sites we have in the city of Sunderland, Karbon Homes and its partners are looking to build nearly 300 homes in Sunderland, and we look forward to bringing all these projects to fruition.”

Councillor Graeme Miller, Leader of Sunderland City Council, said: “More and better homes are at the heart of our plans for Sunderland. Vibrant new communities will absolutely transform our offer as a place to live, and we know that by creating attractive new family homes, we can grow the city, and attract more families – of all shapes and sizes – to choose to live here, and ultimately, work, rest and play in Sunderland.”

Karbon Homes and numerous other major developers will be speaking and attending the North East Development Conference on the 8th January. Click here to register >
