Plans to build 900 new homes and additional amenities in Yorkshire have been given the go-ahead by councillors. The development, the largest ever single housing project within East Yorkshire, is set to be build over 100 acres of land to the south of Beverley.

The scheme is being brought forward by Strata Homes, who’re set to speak at the West Yorkshire Economic Growth Conference next month, and Linden Homes. Set to take place over the next decade the development will also see the creation, in one of the early phases due to councillors requests, of a new park and ride facility linking the new community development to nearby Flemingate.

Strata Homes and Linden Homes are now set to work together as they put together a plan to fund a new footbridge which was also included within the application which will go over the Hull to Beverley railway line. They’ll also be part funding amenities including open space and education provision in the area.

The scheme is set to include 10% affordable housing.
