iSec Greenergy Thurrock Council Development DMS Demolition Regeneration Employment Infrastructure Port Thames Estuary Conference

Additional funding has been secured to unlock the phenomenal opportunities the Thames Enterprise Park is set to bring to the region. The site, being transformed by iSec and Greenergy, will create upwards of 4,500 new jobs as the strategically placed 415-acre brownfield site is regenerated into a thriving new employment zone.

Thames Enterprise Park, who’re set to share details about their scheme at the Thames Estuary Development Plans Conference, will use the £8.5m of investment to help turn their vision into reality. Formerly the Coryton Oil Refinery site the new business park will cover almost 800 football pitches of land – with remediation work ongoing and likely to be completed for work to begin during 2020 – although plans are yet to be fully signed off from the council.

The proposed plans highlight the desire to include:

  • Industry zones including; Food, Energy, Sustainable Industries
  • Food Hub to bring processing, packaging, storage and distribution
  • Energy Hub and Park
  • Sustainable Industries Hub; the focal point for SMEs to research and develop new technologies
  • Amenity hub
  • Offices
  • Leisure Facilities
  • Education Resources
  • Hotel
  • Conferencing Facilities

The announcement of investment comes just days after the launch of the Thames Enterprise Park’s new website – sharing details on the potential impact on regional and national economic growth – with a big focus on the ‘Super Hub’. We’re excited to hear additional details about the scheme at the Thames Estuary Development Conference.
