Liverpool Wirral Waters Housing Residential Apartments Urban Splash

Peel Land and Property have today received the go-ahead for new homes set to be built at their ambitious Wirral Waters development site. The £90m ‘Wirral Waters One’ scheme, which will see them built 500 new properties, is set to be the first residential development at the site – which is set to be transformed into a vibrant new community, and it’ll be a key focus of our Liverpool Development Plans Conference this month.

The announcement comes as the new neighbourhood begins to take shape with several other projects kickstarting on site – and the housing project will see 100 affordable homes created as part of the 500. Those affordable properties are set to be unlocked through ‘Legacy’ – a company set up to help local authorities tackle to need for affordable housing whilst generate housing revenue.

Plans for the site include:

  • 500 homes
  • Mix of one and two bedrooms
  • Gardens and terraces
  • Walkways next to the dock
  • Sustainable urban drainage systems
  • Cycle infrastructure

The scheme is one of several set to take place within the Wirral Waters area – including 347 modular homes set to be created via a joint venture between Peel and Urban Splash. They’ll be deliver a mixture of high density, sustainable residential homes for a wide variety of incomes, people and family types to relieve pressure on Wirral’s green belt.
