London Development & Investment Plans 2017

November 28 @ 1530hrs - 1900hrs

London Development & Investment Plans 2017 | Event

London has had a very interesting year in 2017 which has had a great deal of focus on the regions, Brexit and periods of significant political instability. This has made for some interesting decisions by government and slightly concerning times for those of us working in the sector as the lack of confidence and lack of certainty has affected the visibility of future orders and activity. Local elections, a general election (one so far!) and other challenges within London have been an all too easy distraction.

But the nation’s capital, despite talk of overheating and falling house prices still have a development programme which is the envy of most other countries and the skyline is and has been for some time, littered with cranes. All good news for the property and construction sector but with the Government’s P&L still not balancing how long will this last?

Inward investment remains high and London is and will hopefully always be, an attractive City to invest in therefore all appears to be well at the present time.

So let’s build on this confidence and take a look at some significant work streams that will be around for many years to come.

We have a wonderfully diverse mix of speakers for our next London event;

Emma Gilthorpe, Executive Expansion Director at Heathrow Airport
Paul Duffree, Head of Property, Royal Households Estates
Gordon Adams, Head of Planning, Battersea Power Station Development Company
Elliott Lipton, Managing Director, First Base
James Bishop, Director of New Business (PPP) at U&I

There will be presentations from each speaker giving us an insight into their own unique portfolio of work and reflecting on 2017 and how they see the market in 2018.

With some significant projects both current and future there will be some significant opportunities to reflect on and we anticipate that this will be a very busy event.
