I have continually been re- elected for Morriston since 1983 to the present, a period of thirty one years. At present I hold the position of Cabinet Member for Enterprise, Development and Regeneration. I have been privileged to have held the position of Lord Mayor in 2000 to 2001. And to have held the position as Deputy Leader, Cabinet Member for Leisure. During this time as Cabinet Member for Leisure I delivered some major projects for Swansea including the Liberty Stadium, National Waterfront Museum and the Wales National Pool. All projects being delivered on time and on budget. I am married with two children, Daughter Rebecca and Son Andrew. Sales Manager Past Director of Les Rencontres European Cities and Regions of Culture, past Non-Executive director of A.B.M. University N.H.S. Trust. I currently hold the position as Director of Swansea B.I.D. Ltd., (Business Improvement District), Wales National Pool Swansea Ltd, National Waterfront Museum Ltd and Swansea Stadium Management Company Ltd. My personal interests include Founder of The Sir Harry Secombe Trust, an organisation for Youth Musical Theatre. And I’m a life long supporter of Swansea City Football Club and I personally enjoy skiing. Craig Nowell; Director of Estates & Facilities Management, Swansea University Craig is a member of the Swansea University Management Board, a Chartered Mechanical Engineer and programme director for the new Swansea University ‘Bay’ Science and Innovation Campus development. Over the past 18 years he has developed a proven track record of service improvements and delivery of a wide range of capital projects within the higher education, nuclear power, nuclear defence, steel manufacturing and process sectors. Craig is also a Board Director for the Wales National 50m Pool, operated in partnership between Swansea University and the City and County of Swansea. He is married with three children and hobbies include endurance triathlon, mountain biking and photography. He has delivered a wide range of major capital development projects, led estates’ and facilities’ services in both a health and education setting, and managed several institutional mergers. He is now leading the Swansea SA1 Waterfront Innovation Quarter development for the University of Wales Trinity Saint David.
