Housing & Build to Rent Conference; Sponsored by Howard Kennedy

Wednesday, 7th July 2021 0930hrs – 1530hrs

This online conference will delve into the residential sector – highlighting challenges, opportunities and future projects whilst hearing from the sector’s thought leaders. Speakers confirmed to speak include:

Our last event focused solely on the residential sector raised some key topics which will be the thread of our latest conference. From the opportunities that planning reform can have to public sector and private sector collaboration – more crucial than ever as funding restraints and challenges from Covid hit local authorities. The continued growth of Built to Rent (BtR) and the Private Rented Sector (PRS) is producing real investment boosts in cities and towns, whilst affordable housing remains a challenge with policies such as Section 106 and CIL not really working as effectively as hoped.

All of these and many more will be discussed – we’ll bring together decision makers and influencers to discuss the marketplace, we’ll hear about future projects and plans, challenges, barriers and most importantly the changes needed to accelerate the delivery of high-quality homes in the UK. Topics to be discussed include:

  • £1bn of projects from High Street Residential
  • Castle & Coasts Housing expansion plans
  • The Planning Reform and it’s likely impact
  • The Church of England’s new Bishop for Housing
  • The UK’s largest co-living developer
  • Milligan’s move into the BtR sector
  • Lloyds’s £1.5bn social housing funding
  • Placefirst’s £200m residential pipeline
  • Nationwide’s major investment focus in the sector
  • Making affordable housing work more effectively
  • Legal & General’s new Suburban BtR model
  • HUB’s nationwide expansion
