Major development Commercial Estates Group (CEG) has submitted a planning application for the next stage of their 57-acre Kirkstall Forge development in Leeds.

The planning application includes 200,000sq ft of commercial space and forms part of the wider £400m mixed-use project being led by CEG.

CEG – who’re speaking at the annual West Yorkshire Development Conference – have worked alongside Cooper Cromar Architects to design the next phase whilst Fox Lloyd Jones have been confirmed as the agents.[emaillocker id=”71749″]

Nick Lee, Developmentv Director at CEG, said: “This next phase will bring some of the most advanced and well-connected office space to Leeds. This, alongside our commercial development close to Leeds City Station at Temple will help to meet the need for high quality workspace in attractive environments, helping businesses to attract and retain talent.”

The two-building development is set to have leisure and retail along the ground floor, whilst the uppers will be a range of flexible office accommodation with open floor places from 11,000 sq ft. The offices will have dedicated car parking spaces and they’ll offer electric car charging, a cycle spa, shower rooms, locker facilities, outdoor rooms and balcony features.

Ultimately, the £400m Kirkstall Forge scheme is set to comprise 1,050 new homes, 300,000 sq ft of offices and 100,000 sq ft of retail, leisure and community space.
