The Birmingham Property Club is a series of exclusive lunches focused on the region’s built environment sector. As the industry evolves with the announcement of public land projects, housing and regeneration schemes and PropTech innovations, the Built Environment Networking team are putting you in touch with the key decision makers and leaders driving the change.

Under Andy’s leadership the West Midlands continues to evolve at pace with £600m been spent to date on a variety of commercial, housing and transport schemes- with much more to come. Andy joins our event to talk about the impact of a £4bn investment deal with L&G and look ahead to the next 12 months including his team’s involvement in UKREIIF 2023.

Birmingham City Council – Deborah Cadman, Chief Executive

Emerging from the success of the Commonwealth Games, it’s an exciting time to live and work in Birmingham. As the city undergoes multiple regeneration projects such as the 20 year £700m Perry Barr masterplan or a city centre which places active travel at its heart, Deborah joins our event to ponder the future of the city and how the Commonwealth Games will impact inclusive economic growth plans.

Legal and General Investment Management – Pete Gladwell, Social Impact and Investment Director

With over 700 properties valued at more than £21bn, the UK real estate portfolio at Legal & General Investment Management is a critical segment of Legal and Genral’s path to being net zero by 2050. LGIM Real Assets is focusing on how to ensure not only that new projects are in line with the UK’s 2050 goal, but also that its existing offices, warehouses, shops and homes across the UK are part of their journey to net zero.

West Midlands Growth Company – Katie Trout, Director of Policy and Partnerships

West Midlands Growth Company helps to achieve objectives set out in the West Midlands Combined Authority Strategic Economic Plan, creating new jobs, building and expanding businesses, attracting regional investment and encouraging tourism. Working in collaboration with the Department for International Trade, West Midlands Growth Company have also recently launched the West Midlands Global Growth Programme, a new Government-backed incentive package to bolster trade and investment between the West Midlands and global markets.

Bruntwood – Rob Valentine, Director of Birmingham

Ahead of the completion of the exciting Enterprise Wharf project in Birmingham, Rob joins the event to discuss upcoming plans for their role in the city’s ongoing regeneration as it gears up to support the aim of a £1.5bn per year manufacturing dividend unlocked through development. Rob will also discuss their ongoing national programme of work built around supporting the commercial and science sectors.

Wates Construction – John Carlin, Regional Director, Midlands

John has an overall responsibility for driving turnover and profitability, leading on social value and providing board-level access for clients, as well as ensuring the availability of whole group resources across the Midlands region.
