The Birmingham Property Lunch is a is an exclusive, intimate networking event focused on the region’s built environment sector. As the industry evolves with the announcement of public land projects, housing and regeneration schemes and PropTech innovations, the Built Environment Networking team are putting you in touch with the key decision makers and leaders driving the change.

The event will involve a VIP lunch interspersed with a panel discussion featuring investors, developers, landowners and other end users who will highlight their key projects and future ambitions

They will have unprecedented opportunity for direct audience input and engagement, putting you in touch with potential future clients. This event will be around the theme “meeting Birmingham’s regeneration and investment challenges” and will showcase some of the most significant development projects and investment prospects and how they will unlock inclusive and equitable growth across all regional boroughs.

Birmingham City Council – Cllr Ian Ward, Leader

Emerging from the success of the Commonwealth Games, it’s an exciting time to live and work in Birmingham. As the city undergoes multiple regeneration projects such as the 20 year £700m Perry Barr masterplan or a city centre which places active travel at its heart, over £300m of other schemes across the city are also coming forward in 2023. Cllr Ward joins our event to ponder the future of the city and how to create healthier, smarter greener places.

Muse Places – Maggie Grogan, Development Director

Recently selected as development partner for the £3.2bn Arden Cross masterplan in Birmingham, Muse recently opened a Midlands base. Their scheme will bring forward 3000 new homes and create up to 6 million square feet of employment space unlocking 27,000 new jobs. This 346 acre project is an excellent example of partnership working across Birmingham City Council, Packington Estate, Coleshill Estate and Muse and Maggie joins the event to discuss the delivery.

Court Collaboration – Alex Neale, Managing Director

Court Collaboration is a Birmingham based residential developer specialising in unlocking projects that others can’t and has delivered over 1,000 residential units in the city. . The business has a robust pipeline of residential sites comprising a further 3,000 BTR units across 4 strategic sites in the city, these projects are currently working their way through the planning and pre-construction phase. In 2022 the business started construction of Birmingham’s first skyscraper; “One Eastside” in a £200m forward fund development deal comprising 667 BTR units with Pension Insurance Corporation. They recently submitted a planning application for Brindley Drive, a 581 bed scheme on an eyesore multi story car park, to be funded in partnership with PGIM Real Estate.

Greater Birmingham & Solihull LEP – Henriette Breukelaar, Chief Executive

GBS LEP’s mission is to drive inclusive economic growth in the Greater Birmingham area, creating jobs and increasing the quality of life for all residents. Their Local Growth Fund, launched in 2015 has so far created 13,000 jobs, enabled 1,500 new homes to be built and helped 3,000 people into education. Henriette will discuss their work to secure more capital investment for the region and how this will fund the creation of housing and jobs.
