An expected £500m worth of development will be taking place across Blackpool and the Fylde Coast over the next five years, kicked off by the recently approved £300m Blackpool Central Masterplan and this webinar- delivered in partnership with Blackpool Council – will delve into the unfolding suite of schemes that are set to be brought forward.

Delegates will hear from senior council staff and their development partners about opportunities to help deliver various projects and the wider regeneration strategy planned for the region.

  • Blackpool Council – One of the masterminds behind the Blackpool Central Masterplan and many other development projects such as the Airport Enterprise Zone and the rejuvenation of its sea front. Nick joins us to outline next phases of development and go into detail as to how and where £300m will be spent.
  • Department for Work & Pensions – With a move to Blackpool on the cards for the Department for Work and Pensions, Ade joins the webinar to talk about phase 3 of the forthcoming £350m Talbot Gateway scheme within the town while also delivering insight into why moving UK government departments into the regions is a key spoke in the wheel of “levelling up” across the country.
  • Merlin Entertainment – Merlin Entertainment is a global leader in location-based, family entertainment. With millions of guests attending their sites each year, they are one of the world’s largest attraction operators. Merlin currently operates The Blackpool Tower including it’s four attractions, the Eye, Ballroom, Circus, and Dungeon. They have recently received approval for a £2.3m attraction based round a popular children’s character on Blackpool Promenade. Kate joins us to share insight into Merlin’s plans to continue their role as a Blackpool’s heart of family entertainment.
