Operating similarly to its police contemporary it will help shape property policy and influence across Tri-forces, local and central government in a bid to ensure blue light estate projects are fully funded. Alex also oversees the ever transforming Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue estate and will talk about how national thinking is influencing her property initiatives. Enable North Yorkshire – Simon Garnett-Spence, Head of Assets Enable North Yorkshire is the collaboration of all support (enabling) functions within police and fire in North Yorkshire. Simon will be able to share insight into the ambitions to deliver truly joined up facilities and services which provide the platform for collaborative working for partners, and result in efficient and effective assets, driven by public and client needs. National Police Estates Group – Sallie Blanks-Nash, National Co-ordinator As the national co-ordinator and voice of the National Police Estates Group, Sallie has tremendous influence over policy, procurement strategy, collective innovation and shaping trends. As part of this session she will be in a position to update delegates on NPEG strategy for sustainability and net zero going forward while commenting on how police estates groups across the country will achieve this and the role police estates will play in Tomorrow’s Net Zero Britain. National Ambulance Estates Group – Neil Maher, Chair Neil Maher chairs the National Ambulance Group which is a national group of Estates leaders that share best practice and co-ordinate their activities. Achieving net-zero and making their estates more sustainable has been high on their agenda and Neil will join the conference to discuss the plans that are being put in place across Ambulance Estates in the UK. Neil is also the Assistant Director Estates, Facilities & Fleet at North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust and will update on their plans to decarbonise. Gloucestershire Constabulary – Vicki Heselton, Head of Estates and Support Services Gloucestershire Constabulary are making plans to transform one of the region’s largest operational police centres and a multitude of other projects in the pipeline, it’s an exciting time for the constabulary. West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service – Jon Simpson, Area Manager A new £21 million fire station was recently approved to be built in Horsham with The new facility set to be the first of its kind in West Sussex. It will offer industry-leading facilities for fire and rescue service staff and a new training centre, as well as a new 24-hour operational fire station for Horsham. Jon will join the session to talk about the new facility which could be completed as early as 2022. Baily Garner – Sarah Chisholm, Associate Partner Sarah has worked in the construction industry for over 30 years, specialising in project management, working both client-side and in consultancy project management as well as providing the employer’s agent and contract administrator role. She has broad experience working in many sectors including: blue light, local government, NHS, education, housing, community schemes, historic buildings, hospitality, airport and infrastructure, as well as working with private developers. Since joining Baily Garner she has led a team in our project management and quantity surveying group working on projects including a headquarters refurbishment for the Metropolitan Police. Sussex Police – Andy Taylor, Commercial Planning Manager With over 100 individual sites across Sussex, Andy and his team have been working on a 4-year strategy to bring their estate up to capability of serving the needs of its police force. As 2022 approaches, Sussex Police will be devising their next estate strategy which will cover the forthcoming 4 years.
