Future Development Plans – Chesterfield

Chesterfield is going places with an influx of investment into the town seeing a burst of development and regeneration. In this webinar we will find out more about the £340 million Chesterfield Waterside Regeneration scheme, an exciting new destination in Chesterfield on the edge of the Peak District and within a 40-minute drive of three major cities – Sheffield, Derby and Nottingham. Chesterfield Borough Council will be giving more intel on the coming phases of this exciting regeneration along with their latest HS2 related plans and we will also be hearing from major developers working in the city who will be revealing their future projects.

Hundreds of Millions of pounds worth of projects are set to be discussed on this event – which will be revealed through a series of short presentations before open Q&A from our audience.

  • Chesterfield Borough Council – Neil will give more intel on the future phases of Chesterfield’s £340 million Waterside regeneration scheme which will see a high quality, mixed-use, sustainable regeneration project built across 16 hectares on the edge of the town centre. The scheme will bring 1,200 much needed homes and over 30,000 sq metres of office space to the town, creating a new destination in the process.
  • Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust – Chesterfield Royal Hospital recently revealed a multi-million pound plans for a new urgent and emergency care department at the front of the hospital site where an existing staff car park is sited. The department is expected to transform the face of emergency care for more than 420,000 people who live in North Derbyshire. Berenice is leading on this project and will discuss this ambitious scheme which is expected to cost around £26 million.
  • D2N2 LEP – Tom will join the session to talk about D2N2’s ongoing investment in Chesterfield including the LEP’s plans to invest in housing and business developments. Tom will also discuss the role the LEP will play in driving inclusive economic growth into Chesterfield and the wider East Midlands and the LEP’s role in leading the post-covid fightback.
