Environmental laws are continually evolving and changing with time. But the liability for contamination never disappears. After 250 years of industrialisation in the UK, pollution sites are still being identified, presenting an ongoing, changing and significant risk for land owners and property developers. Environmental insurance need not be restricted to known polluting industries; all land owners and developers should consider protecting their assets from historical risks and the benefits of being proactive in their environmental considerations. In this session, a panel of thought leaders and decision makers from across the sector will discuss the consequences of changing environmental laws and how to mitigate the known and unknown risks to property assets.
