Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority – Dr Nik Johnson, Mayor It has been over a year since Nik took the reigns of the Combined Authority and already a significant number of strategic regeneration projects have been pushed forward. Identifying “six keys” to unlock sustainable growth in the region, the combined authority’s current priority is a consultation on improving transport links between the region and the wider UK. The Mayor has already made it his ambition to link regeneration to living a healthy life and improving life expectancy and as part of this event he will define what levelling up actually means for him. Liberal Democrats – Cllr Aidan Van de Weyer, Liberal Democrats Candidate for Mayor Basing his campaign around creating greener and more sustainable transport schemes across the region while ensuring economic growth benefits of Cambridge Autonomous Metro and East West Rail reach all parts of society. Aidan helped set up a Citizens Assembly on Transport centred around making public spaces, including roads, more people friendly. He joins us to share his vision for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough and take questions from the audience.
