As the housing affordability crisis is a concern for many, Skyroom has taken bold steps for the key workers that did the most for us during the pandemic by launching the £100m Key Worker Homes Fund to develop 111 airspace homes, in London Borough of Lambeth and the London Borough of Waltham Forest – with the ambition of tackling the chronic housing shortage in London by creating new homes on existing buildings, delivering sustainable and affordable living spaces. Arthur will join us on this session to discuss development plans and address how airspace development is being used to maximise the economic, social, and environmental value of existing buildings.

Clarion Housing Group – Clare Miller, Group Chief Executive

Clarion Housing Group is one of the biggest social housing providers in the UK,  that offers 125,000 affordable properties to over 350,000 residents across the UK. Clarion aims to become zero carbon by 2050 and is investing £1.2 billion in the improving local communities providing greener, safer communities. Amro Partners – Tom Donnachie, Investment Director

Amro Partners are the trailblazers of Net-Zero Carbon Built-to-Rent developments, they are changing the standards for Highly Sustainable Purpose-Built rental properties across the UK & Iberia. Following the recent announcement of their £200 million south London BtR development, they are also working on developments totalling £180 million, which includes The Wiltern – 278 Zero-carbon apartments & The Wex – boasting 202 micro-living & co-working spaces.  Tom Donnachie will be joining us on this session to discuss investment and growth plans in BtR, best practice of decarbonised developments, and their perspective of homes of the future.

Countryside – Kate Ives, Strategic Director for Growth

Kate is Strategic Director for Growth at Countryside focusing on regeneration of brownfield land, town centres and estates across London and the South East in partnership with local authorities and housing associations. Kate will join the conference to discuss the latest phases of the £800 million 3,500 home Acton Gardens scheme in Ealing and 3,500 homes at Beam Park in East London as well as Countryside’s plans to develop around 1,900 homes in Kent.

Oxford City Housing – Helen Horne, Managing Director

Council-owned Oxford City Housing has revealed plans ambitious plans to build around 2,245 low-carbon homes across Oxfordshire over the next decade with the ambition to achieve 40% carbon reduction from the Future Buildings Standard or build to Passivehaus standards on these homes. Helen will join the conference to give more details on their plans and how their £1bn sustainable framework will help them deliver these low carbon homes in the county.

The bespoke Build-to-Rent developer Packaged Living provides sustainable properties of the future across the UK – creating “cost-effective, technology-led and purpose-built rental schemes in Bournemouth, Leicester, Cardiff and Milton Keynes. Nico has worked at Schneider Electric for over 12 years, taking up the role of Vice President of Home & Distribution UK&I in 2019.
