Lincolnshire Development Plans | Speakers

Between the networking periods we’re set to hear from some exceptional speakers who’ll be delivering a presentation on their ongoing and future development projects and plans – revealing exclusive information on their vision for the future, information on schemes set to be announced soon, and information on how to work with them on potential projects. Speakers include:

Tom Blount; Director – Lincoln Science & Innovation Park

The Lincoln Science & Innovation Park is situated at the heart of Lincoln and is a key asset in the regional growth plans. The park has already seen exceptional growth over the past 6 years – and they’re working against a 10-year estate masterplan to continue developing and extending the park. Tom will give an overview of that masterplan but importantly, he’ll share details on the future vision for the park and how the science and technology hub will be crucial to growth in the region.

Harvey Dowdy; Head of Estates – University of Lincoln

The University is a key pillar within the Lincolnshire economy – and it’s growing. The increase in student numbers is seeing a need for increased student accommodation across the city with several schemes ongoing and their Harvey will talk about how their estates will need to be modified and expanded to fulfil the growth. She’ll discuss their estates masterplan and the future vision – and inform those in attendance on how they can get involved within future schemes.

Steve Bowyer, Chief Executive, InvestSK

South Kesteven is a fast growing district with great ambitions – with plans to build 14,000 new homes and an additional 10,000 new jobs by 2036 meaning that growth is set to continue apace, and we’ll be hearing details about the future vision and potential development sites and zones which are set to be unlocked. The region is situated well with good links to rail, road and air and with below average property and staff costs it’s becoming an incredibly cost effective location to operate. That’s one of the key reasons why manufacturing and agri-food are strong sectors within the region and as that continues to grow there will be some exceptional development and work opportunities to be won within this area of the UK.

More speakers are being added all the time, so keep an eye on this page!

The conference format is conversational and immersive, not only will you hear the presentations but there will be time set aside for questions and debate throughout the event – with opportunities to connect before and after the conference directly with the speakers also – to share knowledge and business cards. This event offers an ideal opportunity to remove the usual gatekeepers and meet those difficult to contact people face-to-face.
