Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing – Chatinder Bal, Director of Land, Planning & Partnerships Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing have signed a joint venture agreement with Countryside to build 2,500 homes in a major regeneration scheme in Clapham. The scheme has a GDV of £1bn and will see homes developed over 17 separate sites, with 53% being affordable tenures. MTVH has previously completed 1,500 homes in the project, meaning the wider regeneration will total 4,000 homes. Network Homes – Helen Evans, Chief Executive Network Homes own and manage over 20,000 homes across London, Hertfordshire and the Southeast. With a mission to build a minimum of 1000 affordable homes in London in partnership with the Greater London Authority (GLA). The £122 million Affordable Homes Programme aims to be completed by 2026. Helen will be joining us to discuss the future of affordable homes in London, current projects and the challenges of development in the capital. London Borough of Newham – Dave Hughes, Corporate Director of Inclusive Economy and Housing Newham Council has announced a £1bn regeneration masterplan of Carpenters estate in Stratford, through its housing company -Populo Living. Planning to build 2151 new homes, local schools, commercial and community spaces – to redevelop the area. This will be built across 23- acre-site and due for completion in late 2020’s. Dave will be joining the event to discuss the £1bn regeneration in Stratford, the challenges of placemaking and ways to accelerate the affordable housing stock in London. L&Q – Angie Hooper, New Business Director L&Q provides more than 250,000 social homes to people across the UK. Recently announcing 440 homes project, with a resident’s gym and a new nursery. The project is to be launched in Brentford, West London and is due to be completed by 2026.
