The Manchester Property Lunch is one of a series of exclusive lunches focused on the region’s built environment sector. As the industry evolves with the announcement of public land projects, housing and regeneration schemes and PropTech innovations, the Built Environment Networking team are putting you in touch with the key decision makers and leaders driving the change.

Greater Manchester Combined Authority – Eamonn Boylan, Chief Executive

As an enabler of regeneration and investment across Greater Manchester’s boroughs, the combined authority are at the forefront of the ‘levelling up’ agenda. At the top of the organisation, Eamonn has prioritised creating healthier, more sustainable and smarter cities as part of their “Places for Everyone” vision. Eamonn will speak about how they are leading the charge in unlocking new regeneration opportunities for investors and developers who share the Combined Authority’s vision and the investment going into creating an integrated transport system in the region through the latest devolution deal.

Manchester City Council – Shelagh McNerney, Head of Regeneration

Manchester is thriving and is at the start of its next era of investment and development. Pledging to make the city a more inclusive place to live and work, Shelagh is part of the team leading on the charge to implement the vision set out by Bev Craig’s leadership of the council and she joins the lunch to talk about some of the projects that the council are keen to move forward with in the coming year including Gorton Town Centre regeneration and the 1500 home Wythenshawe vision.

University of Salford – Peter Dentith, Head of Capital Projects

The University of Salford are one of the city’s future place shaping leaders with their expansion plans set deliver growth and further development for the wider city as well as the university itself. Peter will be on hand to discuss the plans for ‘Salford Rise’ with around £200m of future commercial development opportunities, 6,000 jobs and £7.5m in business rates set to be delivered over the coming years.

Lexington Communications – Paul Boyfield, Group Head of Property UK

Paul Boyfield is Head of Built Environment at Lexington and is the founder and Managing Director of Lexington North.  Paul has over twenty years’ experience as a political consultant and has led communications on a series of major projects in housebuilding, commercial development, energy facilities and infrastructure across the north of England.  In addition, with the advent of regional devolution, Paul is advising clients from a range of sectors including healthcare, transport and property on the opportunities presented by city regions.
