Speakers

Stephen Walker, Deputy Head of Asset Management; Aberdeen Standard Investments

Stephen Walker has been the Deputy Head of Asset Management since July, 2015 and Head of Edinburgh Asset Management at Aberdeen Standard Investments. He is part of the property division and is responsible for developing the UK property business. He has investment and strategic asset management experience gained in both private practice and client side positions, including roles at Ryden, Lloyds TSB Bank and a secondment to the Royal Mail.

Lynda Shillaw, Chief Executive – Property; MAG Property

Joined MAG as Divisional Chief Executive Officer for Property in June 2014 from Scottish Widows Investment Partnership where she ran the £9bn Real Estate Fund Management Business.

At MAG Lynda a member of the Executive Committee and is responsible for the non-operational land and assets including the creation of the Quantum Property vehicle, the delivery of Airport City.

Graduating in 1986 with a degree in Accountancy and Finance, Lynda has 20+ year career in the property industry, where she has headed Co-operative Estates, Lloyds Banking Group’s Real Estate Lending Business, and was Property Director at BT where she worked for 18 years.

Lynda is a Chartered Management Accountant and has also held executive positions as a pension fund Trustee, an Environment Commissioner, a member of AGMA’s Business Leadership Council and a BT Regional Director.

Lorraine Norris, Chief Executive; Preston City Council

Lorraine Norris has had a long career in local government and private practice where she qualified as a solicitor.  She is committed to living and working in the North West, and has been the Chief Executive of Preston City Council since 2009.

Tom Gilman, Managing Director – North; Kier Property

Tom has worked for Kier Property since August 2010 and is responsible for the Northern operations. Tom has focussed on expanding the growth of the business in the North of England, working closely with many joint venture partners to bring forward development sites in all asset classes.
