John Harrison; Bursar, Corpus Christi CollegeJohn Harrison Resized

John joined Corpus Christi College in January 2012 following a varied career that has encompassed roles in the military, Foreign Office and other government departments. Exiting from the RAF in 2007 as an Air Commodore, his military service included operational duty in the Falkland Islands, Kosovo, Sierra Leone, Afghanistan, and Iraq. He commanded Royal Air Force Halton, near Aylesbury, and was appointed Aid de Camp to Her Majesty The Queen. In recent years, financial and commercial roles saw him working primarily in New York and London. He holds a KCL MA and an MPhil in International relations awarded at Cambridge.

Beyond the work environment John enjoys ski-ing (a lapsed downhill racer and BASI Instructor) sea kayaking, rowing, long-distance trekking, sailing old wooden boats, and gardening. He is married to Pauline and they have a daughter Kathryn who is studying Interior Design.


Andrew Parker; Treasurer & Dean, Somerville CollegeAndrew Parker Resized

As Treasurer, Andrew Parker is responsible for the College’s finances and investments including legacies, building projects and maintenance, and commercial property, as well as Human Resources, health and safety, the College gardens, and the Bursary.

Andrew, who is a qualified accountant, has had an extensive career in Finance and Administration, including at Oxford University Press as Finance Director (and interim Managing Director) of Oxford University Press International Division, and Group Financial Controller. From 2003 to 2013 he was Director of Finance and Administration at the Royal Shakespeare Company with responsibility for Finance, HR, IT, Estates and Health & Safety, as part of the senior executive team with the Artistic and Executive Directors.
