His work has included the development of the John Charles Centre for Sport, the sale of the Leeds Bradford Airport for the 5 West Yorkshire Authorities, and the development of the Masterplan for Elland Road. He has also led on the development of the Leeds Arena Project. Martin represents Leeds City Council on the Board of Yorkshire County Cricket Club. David Hoggarth; Director of Development; Metro David Hoggarth is Director of Development at Metro, the West Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive (WYPTE). His role at Metro encompasses rail strategy and delivery, planning (including the Local Transport Plan and the Leeds City Region Transport Strategy). David has worked for Metro for over 12 years including roles in rail services management and as Assistant Director of Development. Hoggarth has an MSc in Transport Planning and worked for JMP Consultants and the City of York Council before joining Metro. Beth West; Commercial Director HS2 Beth joined HS2 Ltd in October 2012 as Commercial Director from Thames Water where she was Head of Commercial for the Thames Tideway Tunnel project. Prior to joining Thames Water Beth spent eight years at Transport for London (TfL). Beth started her career at TfL in the Corporate Finance team, where she led the refinancing of Tube Lines’ debt package. In 2005, Beth joined London Underground as the Head of Commercial Advisory and Risk, where she was responsible for providing commercial advice and strategy on the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) and Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contracts. In 2009, Beth became Head of Commercial Procurement and was responsible for delivering improved commercial capability for the business. Finally, in 2011, Beth became Commercial Director at Tube Lines where she was responsible for procurement, risk management, business planning and controls, and assurance. Before this Beth worked for eight years as a project finance banker in New York and London for Société Générale and Credit Suisse, covering the power and oil & gas sectors. Beth started her career on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, working for the Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives. Craig Burrow; Regional Director, Bruntwood Craig joined Bruntwood in 2007 after several years working in the Leeds offices of Sanderson Weatherall and DTZ, dealing with all aspects of office agency and development across the Yorkshire markets. Since joining the company, Craig has been closely involved with the expansion of the Leeds portfolio, including the acquisitions of 14 King Street and City House. He has also been instrumental in driving Bruntwood’s Leeds occupancy rates to over 95%, attracting numerous new occupiers and directing the Leeds team in the delivery of the high Bruntwood standards of building operation and customer service. Mike Stancliffe; Development Surveyor, Network Rail Mike is a Development Surveyor in Network Rail Property’s York office and has over 20 year’s experience of dealing with all aspects of the railway estate in the East Midlands, Yorkshire and North-East region. Mike’s development experience includes work on the redevelopment and disposal of railway sites plus work on numerous projects at railway stations where he has worked with train operators to deliver better station environments for passengers, including Barnsley Interchange, Wakefield Westgate and Wakefield Kirkgate. Mike now has a particular focus on enhancements at Leeds station.
