Impact Developments – Nick Shattock, CEO

Prior to Impact, Nick ran his own development consultancy, Chainwork, set up after his departure from Quintain, where he was a LSE Board member for 16 years, latterly as and Deputy Chief Executive 2006-11. Nick is also a NED at the Ministry of Defence- Defence Infrastructure Organization and MHCLG’s Ebbsfleet Development Corporation.

Whilst at quintain, Nick led the land assembly and planning and development of Greenwich Peninsula and Wembley, that led to 24 million feet of planning and the transformation of two major areas of London. Nick has developed successfully in all the real estate sectors, (inter alia) with major developments in Croydon, the West End and the City of London. Nick’s contribution to the Group’s vision is through our placemaking arm, Impact Developments. Prior to joining quintain, Nick was a real estate partner at a City law firm

Nick has specialised in creating major new places through regeneration and sustainability, with the concept of running towns as businesses, as well as creating the zero carbon business Bioregional Quintain. The Greenwich and Wembley consents were two of the three largest in London at the time, at a groundbreaking pace, through partnerships with HMG, GLA, Councils and housing associations.

Rentplus – Steve Collins, Chief Executive

Steve has 30+ years’ experience in public and private sector housing/development including the Homes & Communities Agency where he delivered over 42 government programmes worth over c.£900m pa. Steve has significantly grown Rentplus which now delivers affordable rent to buy across England. In 2021, the first 2016 Rentplus renters became homeowners, buying 100% of their home. Rentplus turns renters into homeowners by removing the deposit barrier.

 

JLL – Jane Boyle, Sustainability Director

JLL are a leading professional services firm that specialises in real estate and investment management. Jane is a Sustainability Director in JLL Upstream – the energy and sustainability consulting and projects business within JLL EMEA. She has a proven track record of delivering carbon reduction and sustainability strategies across a variety of sectors.

IMPACT LENDING – David Travers, CEO

David has 13 years of experience in the lending field. In 2019 together with Robert Whitton, David launched Hambros Secured Lending. The business took on a new direction, adopting sustainable loans as part of its offering, and joining Impact Capital Group as Impact Lending.

David is committed to promoting sustainability in the Real Estate sector. He helped shape Impact Lending’s sustainable loans range with the ambition to influence developers to consider greener routes to housing delivery.

Impact Capital Group – Mark Anderson, COO

Since joining Impact early this year, Mark has propelled the company’s growth through structural development, helping reach the companies ESG driven vision.

He has extensive experience in Banking, Private and Banking Equity, having recently spent 7 years as operating partner at Hudson Advisors the investment adviser for Lone Star funds where he was responsible for driving value in the fund’s portfolio companies.

Prior to this Mark spent 13 years at RBS, holding a number of leadership positions as well as originating and writing numerous M&A and turnaround transactions.

Mark’s ambition is to help shape the market to be more responsive and accountable for our Climate Change Targets.

Archerfield Homes – Tristan Lee, Director

Tristan a director of Archerfield Homes, who are residential developer, who specialise in MMC for both the quality of the build, and the sustainability. Archerfield, are a family firm, comprising of Colin (a Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager), Tristan who does the commercial elements of the business and Robert Barton (formerly of St Modwens and Cathedral Group). Archerfield operate from Suffolk to Sussex, focusing on both family and affordable housing for both for sale, and for registered providers.

Wokingham Borough Council – Sarah Dukes, Specialist Operational Property Officer

Wokingham Borough Council is the unitary authority covering Wokingham, Woodley, Wargrave, Hurst, Arborfield, Shinfield, Earley and surrounds. The council declared a climate emergency back in 2019, committing to be completely carbon net zero by 2030. With over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry, Sarah joins us to share the council’s thoughts on COP26 and the steps necessary to achieve net zero on a national scale.

Impact Working – Mark Gregson, CEO

Mark has spent the last 15 years immersed in the World of flexible offices, having launched 58 new location across major cities throughout the UK.

As Founder and CEO, Mark has drawn on his experience to launch Impact Working, a new coworking operator, with a focus on culture, happiness, wellbeing and sustainability. The company is designed to offer the perfect platform for businesses to grow and an environment worth leaving the home for, without negative repercussions for the natural environment.

Mark is passionate about the importance of wellbeing in the working environment and how this correlates with sustainability and climate change ambitions.
