Thames Estuary Development Conference 2019 | Event

CONFERENCE OVERVIEW

The inaugural Thames Estuary Development Conference will bring together over 400 leaders from the property, development, infrastructure and construction industries to unlock the phenomenal opportunities for growth the Thames Estuary presents to the UK. The Thames Estuary has significant strengths: its proximity to London, international trade via its ports, strong universities, further education and research institutions; and availability of land to deliver high-quality homes and employment opportunities.

It has the potential to support unprecedented growth and is a tapestry of productive places along a global river, generating an additional £190 billion GVA and 1.3 million new jobs by 2050. At least 1 million new homes will need to be delivered to support this growth. This conference, with the support of London Borough of Bexley, Thames Gateway Kent Partnership, South East LEP, Opportunity South Essex and more, will tackle the challenges, the needs, and the opportunities to help bring this vision for a thriving corridor to life.
