Exclusive Drinks Reception – Tuesday, 12th September 16:45-17:45 @ The Custard Factory

After the event closes on day one there is the option of joining us for a drinks reception to mingle with industry peers in a more relaxed and informal setting, to connect and discuss some of the key topics from the day.

You can secure a ticket for this during checkout – which includes two drink tokens for alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks. It’s a great way to end the day with some quality networking which may spark ideas or generate new business.

The Custard Factory

This unique venue is in Birmingham’s Digbeth Quarter, an up-and-coming area in the city that has attracted the likes of the BBC to move their regional office to. Based in and around the former Bird’s Custard Factory the main venue is surrounding by bars, restaurants and other locations which are used throughout the event. It is walking distance from the primary train stations but also has good local transport links and parking locally.

Address: The Custard Factory, Gibb Street, Deritend, Birmingham B9 4AA

Staying overnight? Take a look at the suggested local hotels here: https://www.built-environment-networking.com/tomorrows-series-hotels/

Custard Factory Stages

We have a couple of stages which are based within The Custard Factory

Custard Factory Stage One: is the main stage and where our primary panel discussions will take place.

We will have a number of panel discussions and excellent content taking place on these stages and you’ll be able to get involved through Q&A and Slido with details of this shared on the day.

Use the ‘Programme’ tab above to view what’s happening here over the two-days.

Roundtable Room

Outside of The Custard Factory you’ll notice opposite a see-through Board Room which also makes up part of our event – this is utilised as our Roundtable Room.

On the event programme you’ll notice our roundtable speakers who’ll be joining us for the event, they’ll be picking up with an expert host some of the key opportunities and challenges of their topic.

There are options to become a sponsor and work with us to develop bespoke roundtables or chair one of those already curated.

Some of the roundtables may be private – the website will highlight this – but most will allow guests to sit or stand around the table and listen to the discussion taking place between clients.

Cinema Room

Once again around the courtyard area outside The Custard Factory there is an independent cinema which we’ve taken over for the two-days of the event.

Inside you’ll see meeting spaces in the cinema foyer where you can have private meetings and discussions, whilst inside we have two cinema screens.

These will be utilised for a number of activities from showcasing future projects, private workshops, case studies and best practice presentations

You’ll be able to find what’s happening in The Cinema on the event programme tab above.

Exhibition

Around The Custard Factory there will be a number of exhibitors who’re keen to connect. The Factory Stage is in the same hall but will use headphones to enable you to continue to mingle with exhibitors when the programme is taking place.

The Courtyard

The Custard Factory site has been regenerated by Oval Real Estate and has been developed into a unique and vibrant area which we’re seeking to use.

In one corner is The Custard Factory events space which we’ll use, but this is just one door of many within The Courtyard (see right) which is a large open space suitable for networking and connecting.

Surrounding The Courtyard are the areas above like The Cinema and Roundtable Room, but there are also plenty of bars, restaurants and other unique spaces where you can take the conversation further and enjoy a truly different feel of event to what we’re used to in the industry.

Drinks/Networking Reception

Following Day One we’ll all be gathering in The Custard Factory for an exclusive networking event – for those who’ve purchased tickets to attend the drinks reception. These tickets include two free drink tokens.
