Here’s an overview of the confirmed speakers: Pobl Group – Amanda Davies, Group Managing Director Pobl Group are set to play a significant role in the regeneration of Swansea over the coming years with their involvement in the massive £750 million regeneration of the city centre with Urban Splash and also their involvement in Hacer Developments mixed use Biophilic Swansea project. Countrywide, Pobl has recently exceeded its target of creating 3,000 much needed new homes in the five years to 2021 and has recently outlined its ambitions for the new decade that includes investing in a further 10,000 new homes by 2030 and Amanda will join the session to discuss their plans for the Swansea region. Network Rail – James Jackson, Industry Programme Director James is Industrial Programme Director, Wales and Western at Network Rail and will discuss their strategic investment and development plan. They are supporting the delivery of Transport for Wales’ ambitious £5bn vision to transform the railway in Wales and the Borders. Key projects as part of the vision include a £30m upgrade to Barmouth Viaduct and a £25m upgrade to the Newport-Gloucester line. Welsh Government – Carole Weller, Head of Regeneration for North Wales Welsh government are in the midst of major plans to regenerate their town centres with schemes such as the Town Centre First policy and the Transforming Towns initiative. As part of this session, Carole will talk about these schemes which are looking to re-purpose and re-invent spaces within Welsh town centres to create a greener, healthier environment for their local communities as well as encouraging and regenerating commerce to boost their local economies. Packaged Living – Ed Owen, Acquisitions – Multi-Family Housing Ed is part of the multi-family acquisitions team, primarily focused on the repurposing of commercial assets for BTR use. Prior to joining Packaged Living, Ed was an Executive Vice President at Melburg Capital, a boutique real estate investment manager. His role at Melburg Capital encompassed the sourcing, funding and acquiring of real estate investment opportunities. St. Modwen – Elise Coalter, Project Director St. Modwen are one of the biggest industrial developers in the UK with over 50 development projects totalling £888 million spanning their industrial and their growing housebuilding arm. Elise’s projects are focused in Wales and will join the conference to discuss St. Modwen’s ongoing and future development plans in the country which will bring hundreds of jobs and hundreds of homes to the country. Tirion Homes – David Ward, Chief Executive Tirion Homes have major plans in one of Wales’ largest regeneration scheme with the £85m regeneration of Newport’s former Whiteheads steelworks, creating a new development of 528 homes with a primary school, neighbourhood centre and community space which will provide a boost to the local economy by creating 850 new jobs including 40 apprenticeships for local people. David will join the session to give more intel on this scheme which has received the support of the Welsh Government. Linc Cymru Housing Association – Louise Attwood, Executive Director Property Linc Cymru Housing Association have big plans to deliver thousands of affordable homes over the coming years. Louise will join the conference to share exclusive details on the five-storey scheme in Caerphilly and their planned investment into Sunnyside in South Wales while also touching on their drive to use MMC as a delivery tool. Development Bank of Wales – Cenydd Rowlands, Property Director The Development Bank of Wales is offering £100 million investment to Net Zero incentives – renewable and energy efficient measures over the next five to seven years. Cardiff Council – Ken Poole, Head of Economic Development Cardiff Council approves new partnership with Wates Living that could see 1,700 homes delivered over the next 9 years and plans to develop the city by 2036.
