Water Sector Capital Investment & Development Conference; Sponsored By Costain

Monday, 6th June 2022 0930hrs – 1230hrs

The water sector is currently halfway through its seventh five-year AMP (Asset Management Plan), valued at approximately £51bn with a 50:50 split between capital and operational investment. Join us to hear from sector leadership on the investment priorities throughout the UK.

Since privatisation in 1989, the water sector has invested close to £140bn in its capital assets through planned and controlled five-year investment programmes. The current five-year programme is known as AMP7 and sets out investment priorities from 2020 to 2025. Under AMP7, several key areas will receive significant investment including: £469m to address long-term drought challenges, over £1bn to help with flood protection, improving more than 12,000km of river and reducing pollution incidents by 30%. During this conference, we will bring together the UK’s water sector leadership to share insight into the latest schemes and initiatives to continue improving the nation’s water services.

Topics to be discussed:

  • £500m of investment from Scottish Water
  • UK Gov’s National Underground Assets Register Pilot
  • £105m, 54km Tees Pipeline project
  • NWG’s latest £150m framework
  • £288m Northumbrian Water frameworks
