Meet the Candidates: West Midlands Combined Authority Mayoral Election

In this exclusive event, we are giving our network of developers, investors, construction professionals and public sector stakeholders the opportunity to engage with the candidates involved in the West Midlands Combined Authority Mayoral election. Delegates will hear each potential leader’s vision for regeneration, infrastructure, housing, investment and public/private sector collaboration and will have chance to pose questions to gain expert insight into the direction of the region under each candidate’s stewardship.

Speakers for this event include:

Liberal Democrats – Jenny Wilkinson, Liberal Democrat Candidate

Jenny was born and brought up in Sutton Coldfield and is now raising her own three young boys in the town.  She actively campaigned to remain in the EU, stood in the European Elections and is now standing against a destructive Brexit, anxious about the damage it would cause to our economy and the consequent impact on our ability to fund our NHS, schools and public services. Being interested in environmental issues, Jenny has instigated a Sutton Coldfield campaign to prevent climate change and is keen to see greater promotion and use of the wonderful natural resource we have on our doorstep in Sutton Park.

West Midlands Combined Authority – Andy Street, Mayor

Under Andy’s leadership the West Midlands continues to evolve at pace with £600m been spent to date on a variety of commercial, housing and transport schemes- with much more to come. Andy joins our event to talk about the impact of a £4bn investment deal with L&G and look ahead to the next 12 months including his team’s involvement in UKREIIF 2023.
