Caddick Group and Moda Living have announced a major three-day programme of activity at UKREiiF – the UK’s Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum – where they will delve into the ESG agenda and challenge the industry to push towards the next generation of communities within their Next Generation Futures Pavilion.

Caddick Group has numerous organisations under its umbrella including multi-sector property developer Caddick Developments and Caddick Construction, who have expertise across all property sectors to provide in-house design and technical expertise.

It also owns Moda Living – the pioneering build-to-rent brand that has a pipeline of 18,400 homes across the UK, from Brighton to Edinburgh, ranging from state-of-the-art city centre build-to-rent neighbourhoods to suburban family homes under its Casa by Moda brand.

Nationally Caddick Group has over £7bn of development and 30,000 BtR properties in its pipeline – but its roots are firmly set in Yorkshire. UKREiiF therefore provides a unique opportunity for them to showcase its national activity to an international audience right here in the group’s home city of Leeds.

The Next Generation Futures Pavilion will be the anchor of its involvement – where Moda and Caddick will run three days’ worth of content and activities covering topics which are crucial to delivering on their ESG agenda, and delving into key priorities which are embedded in their values when delivering major development and regeneration activity, such as sustainability, healthy places and lifestyles, and innovative technology.

Discussions will cover topics such as green technology, diversity in leadership, the data revolution within the BtR sector, public and private sector partnerships, and integrating wellness into community design.

Meanwhile a series of  daily wellbeing workshops, mindfulness coaching and an interactive audience with the Leeds Rhinos rugby and netball team will take the conversations off the stage and immerse delegates in the key themes of wellness and community.

Speaking of their involvement Moda Living chief executive Johnny Caddick said: “The Next Generation Futures Pavilion at UKREiiF will bring together people from across the sector to get stuck in to conversations around the core brand values that run throughout Moda Living and the wider Caddick Group. From ESG and leading technology to working hand in hand with the public sector, the pavilion will be a hotspot of challenging and rewarding content to evolve the sector for future generations.

“As a Yorkshire-based family business we cannot wait to welcome our colleagues from across the world to Leeds, and to share with them the many things that make our home city one of the most exciting, progressive locations in the UK with boundless potential for next generation developments.

Keith Griffiths, Chief Executive Officer at UKREiiF, added: “Caddick Group and Moda are an inspiration to industry businesses across Yorkshire – with their roots firmly set in the region they have branched out far and wide to become one of the UK’s leading developers and construction companies.

“But their focus on delivering sustainable and healthy neighbourhoods and communities where people want to live, work and play sees that inspiration stretch much further than Yorkshire. They’re helping to transform the industry approach across the whole of the UK – and their involvement in UKREiiF is a real coup for the event.”

Led by property events company Built Environment Networking and supported by some of the biggest UK property and infrastructure companies, the first annual UKREiiF event will be held in Leeds on 17-19 May 2022. The forum will attract inward investment, generate economic growth and drive a more sustainable and inclusive culture within the property and construction industries.
