Chancerygate is set to become the latest name to continue the major industrial development around the AJ Bell Stadium in Salford – as they’re on the verge of acquiring a 4.5-acre site.

The site has been sold to the developer by CosCos – the JV partnership between Salford City Council and Peel L&P – who also sold 15-acres around the stadium to Cole Waterhouse last year.

The developer is eyeing up a 100,000sq ft industrial scheme on the site – with 14 units ranging between 5,000-11,600sq ft.

The site sales are all part of a bit by the JV partnership to cover the loan it issued to develop the AJ Bell Stadium – which is currently being used by rugby union side Sale Sharks and rugby league outfit Salford Red Devils. Salford FC has also recently enquired about moving to the stadium as the club continues to grow.
