Charles Church has submitted plans to Warwick District Council for an additional 452 homes at its Kenilworth Gate development, located on the southern edge of the town.

The proposals follow the first phase of 98 homes at Kenilworth Gate, featuring a range of two to four bedroom homes in the sought-after town of Kenilworth. The proposed second phase will deliver high-specification, luxury homes to the Warwickshire town.

The development will bring an extensive range of community benefits to the town as well as a variety of new homes. Among these include over £4m towards local highways improvements, and the funding and infrastructure to facilitate a new primary school, community centre and future employment area.

Significant funds have also been allocated towards the improvement of public services and open space, with over £7m pledged to local education, and £1.5m allocated to local hospitals and GP surgeries. A further sum of over £1.6m will be pledged to local green spaces – including significant biodiversity enhancements across the site, as well as further funds committed to the improvements of local footpaths and grass pitches.

Nick Wilkins, Technical Director at Persimmon Homes and Charles Church Central, said: We’re proud to have submitted plans to Warwick District Council for the second phase of our new community in Kenilworth. If approved, this new development will bring a wide range of new benefits to the town, including major improvements to local roads, public open spaces, healthcare and education.

“Of course, what we do is about so much more than building quality homes. This development will not only generate significant job opportunities throughout the lifespan of the project, but will also leave a lasting legacy of community benefits for the people of Kenilworth and the surrounding areas.”
