Fast-growing real estate investment platform Henderson Park has sold one of its prime assets to a consortium led by a Hong Kong-based company for £255m.

The private equity firm entered the market in 2016 and since then has invested nearly £10bn in  iconic real estate assets across Europe.

In 2018 it acquired the 147,000sqft Athene Place in the City of London and committed to a two-year refurbishment programme while Deloitte agreed a 15-year let of half the floorspace and a further pre-let for the rest of the building on completion of the upgrade.

Today its sale to Wing Tai Properties and partners was confirmed and the attraction of London properties to foreign investors shows no sign of waning according to Henderson Park co-founder Nick Weber.

He said: “This sale to the consortium led by Wing Tai Properties Limited underlines the ongoing appeal of prime, well let London offices to international investors and the important role we believe they will continue play in the daily working life of the future.”
