Maidenhead

One of the UK’s leading housebuilders has submitted plans to develop five apartment blocks in Maidenhead.

The site – a brownfield plot – could be transformed into 130 new homes over five blocks, which currently houses derelict office buildings. The developer has submitted plans to The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead Council for the project which also includes 66 parking spaces. [emaillocker id=”71749″]

A spokesperson for Bellway Homes – who’re speaking on our upcoming Webinar – said: “The development will provide a wide range of key planning and regeneration benefits for the site and surrounding area. It makes best use of a vacant brownfield site easing pressure on the surrounding valued greenbelt and represents a high quality design which will act as a landmark building to serve as a gateway into Maidenhead town centre. The proposals will result in environmental benefits given that the development will generate less car movements than the existing office blocks and the new buildings will be of a more energy efficient and sustainable build. Subject to the granting of planning permission, it’s likely that the first available units will be available for occupation in spring 2022.”
