The Severn Valley regional team at Persimmon has received planning approval for a new project in Fiddington.

The scheme is simply Phase 1 of Fiddington Fields which will lead to a wider masterplan.

The initial phase will include:

  • 23 one-bedroom units
  • 32 two-bedroom units
  • 44 three-bedroom units
  • 15 four-bedroom units

These will be delivered over apartments, terraced, semi-detached and detached homes. Green corridors and open spaces will also be integrated into the development to link existing features and the countryside to the homes.

39 homes will also be transfers to a local housing association partner.

Paul Moody, managing director for Severn Valley, said: “This scheme will deliver a range of quality new homes designed for local families and first-time buyers who otherwise might struggle to get onto the housing ladder in Tewksbury.

“The design seeks to build upon the site’s assets, landscape character and local context and respond to the issues of ecology, access, landscape and surface water management in an integrated way.

“Our plans will also deliver significant community benefit for local people including significant new jobs, amenities, infrastructure and a substantial social housing contribution.”
