Places for People, a prominent social housing organisation, has unveiled plans for an extensive property refurbishment project worth millions of pounds. The initiative, which spans four years, will focus on enhancing the organisation’s portfolio in the North East.

The organisation, which boasts a wide range of rental properties across the region, is committed to delivering sustainable homes and fostering vibrant communities through this scheme. The project, executed in collaboration with contractor Wates, is set to generate numerous full-time jobs, apprenticeships, training opportunities, and placements.

He added, “This initiative will create thousands of new opportunities for our customers over the next four years. We are excited to engage with our communities as we bring this concept to life. Our decisions are evidence-based, driven by the feedback we’ve received from customers in the North East.”
