Edge Data Centre

Proximity Data Centres, formerly known as Edge UK Data Centres, has secured a £25m loan from global asset manage ICG-Longbow which will help them bring forward their £80m data centre project.

The scheme will see them develop 18 regional data centres across the UK – and they’ll be sharing details about these plans at our Development Data Centres Webinar. [emaillocker id=”71749″]

Managing Director John Hall said: “We are currently engaged in multiple negotiations with site owners, single asset data center owners, and enterprise-owned data centers and expect to conclude a number of deals over the coming three to six months. Our partnership with ICG provides us with the financial firepower to rapidly develop our data center portfolio.”

The firm is already known for operating numerous data centres across the UK – with sites in Nottingham Wakefield and Bridgend.

But the new sites include:

  • Liverpool
  • Manchester
  • Crawley
  • Livingston
