PURE Leisure Group has taken its resort total to 19 following the acquisition of Lakesway Holiday Home & Lodge Park for an undisclosed sum from Leisure Resorts.

Situated in Levens, Kendal, the five-star-rated resort has a mix of 300 lodges and caravans and boasts incredible panoramic views of the Lake District.

Ideally placed between two rivers over 20 acres, Lakesway Holiday Home & Lodge Park is pet-friendly, has an on-site restaurant, free WiFi, children’s play area and for added luxury, some of the properties have private hot tubs. Pure Leisure Group confirms it will be maintaining all existing facilities and in due course will be adding more to the amenities offered in keeping with its core values and ethos.

John Morphet, owner of Pure Leisure Group, said: “The Lakesway Holiday Home & Lodge Park is a truly beautiful resort and we’re delighted to bring it within the Pure Leisure portfolio. It’s a great new asset and bolsters our offering in a County we know all too well with both our Fell End and Hall More resorts just a 15 minutes’ drive away.

“This area attracts both holiday homeowners as well as tourists and we are confident that the new addition will be a thriving success, fully supported by our head office team. With an already impressive 4.5 Excellent score on TripAdvisor, we look forward to working with the team on site to ensure we retain existing customer loyalty whilst attracting a new clientele to the park under our ownership.

“Staycations have been increasingly popular since Covid, so we’re excited to add another Lake District site to our resort portfolio and give consumers an even wider choice of where to spend their well-deserved leisure time.”

Founded in 1988 with the inaugural South Lakeland Caravans by John Morphet, he launched the Pure Leisure Group in 2004 with a vision for bringing quality, luxury holiday parks to the UK market.
