Taylor Wimpey has submitted a planning application to St Helens Borough Council. This includes a detailed layout, landscaping design of the site, and the appearance and design of the new houses.

They aim to deliver over 500 high-quality homes in a wide range of styles and beds to meet the local needs in the St Helens area.

The site is located on land south of Gartons Lane, St Helens. It is boarded by the B5419 to the west, Sorrel Way and Farm Road can be found to the east of the proposed development, whilst Sutton Manor Woodland sits towards the south. St Helens town centre is located only 3.3 miles away.

Gartons Lane will include public open spaces and will make the most of the 50 acres of land by including landscaping, play areas for children and improved access to Sutton manor Woodland for the new and existing residents of the development.

Ian Harrison, Land and Planning Director at Taylor Wimpey North West, said: “We’ve worked with the local community and St Helens Council to develop our proposals for Gartons Lane and are pleased to have submitted our full planning application.

“With a wide range of houses and open space, we believe that the Gartons Lane neighbourhood will not only contribute to the delivery of much-needed new homes, but will create an attractive, sustainable and long-lasting addition to St Helens, with improved walking and cycling routes to Sutton Manor Woodland.”
