The Irish Government has backed plans to partially fund an impressive new technology campus planned by Trinity College Dublin – who’ll be involved in the upcoming Ireland Development Conference.

The Government has committed €150m towards the €1bn project which will see a new campus developed at the institutions 2.2-hectare site adjacent to the Grand Canal Quay. The campus will be built over the course of 10-years, attracting start-up businesses alongside multinationals to co-exist and thrive together.

Trinity College Dublin’s Provost Patrick Prendergast, said: “The funding from Government is crucial to unlocking investment and support from the private sector. State support, through continued policy development, political goodwill and financial investment is invaluable. For international investors, it is a prerequisite that the importance of a project of this nature is demonstrated through Government commitments of this nature.”
