James Parker has joined UKREiiF ahead of the inaugural event set to take place in Leeds between 17-19 May 2022.

James Parker, known for heading up UK Sales for MIPIM, has today been announced as joining Built Environment Networking to work across one of their flagship event – UKREiiF (The UK’s Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum).

Parker will join as a Sales Director, working closely with Group Sales Director Simon Rhodes, who recently joined the business after 25 years at Barbour ABI. He will work across all Built Environment Networking events to forge new relationships, with a particular focus on UKREiiF – an event which has already secured the support of every major city region across the UK in addition to the Department for International Trade.

James Parker said of his appointment: “Having met the Built Environment Networking team and discovering their vision I was instantly sold. This dynamic team is disrupting the industry, and their network of contacts within both the public and private sector creates an unrivalled facilitation network.

“Their plans for UKREiiF are truly transformational for the UK industry – creating a more inclusive, cost effective and sustainable events model in comparison to many alternatives, and their innovative mindset was a key attributor in my decision to leave MIPIM. The UK is a hotbed for investment and development activity – and an event of this scale in the UK is certainly the way forward. I look forward to working on this and many other events across the Built Environment Networking business.”

Keith Griffiths, Chief Executive Officer of Built Environment Networking, added: “James was at the top of the list when seeking out a new Sales Director to join our ever growing team. With the inaugural UKREiiF event taking place in May I was keen to attract someone who has relationships both domestically and internationally with both the public and private sectors – and his enthusiasm and energy will be vital to helping us achieve our vision.

“Built Environment Networking is at a critical moment in our growth, with ten new recruits already in 2022 and a soon to be launched ‘Tomorrow’s Series’ which will focus on key sectors including Net Zero, Logistics and Industrial, and Social Value. James will therefore play an important role in driving this significant expansion.”

Led by property events company Built Environment Networking and supported by some of the biggest UK property and infrastructure companies, the first annual UKREiiF event will be held in Leeds on 17-19 May 2022. The forum will attract inward investment, generate economic growth and drive a more sustainable and inclusive culture within the property and construction industries.
