The 96.5-acre site will utilise dual branding of Bovis and Linden Homes, giving buyers the benefit of a wide choice of homes from the latest collections. On offer will be a full suite of one and two bed apartments, in addition to two, three, four and five bed houses. Of the 726 homes, 145 will be affordable dwellings and 36 are designated as self-build plots.

The proposed development will not only provide high quality homes, but will also support the local community by contributing more than £1.75 million towards off-site pedestrian and cycle improvements, playing pitches, bus services and a local travel plan. Construction is expected to start in September 2022.

The new development is situated in the ancient parish and market town of Wolborough, in the Newton Abbot area of Devon, offering excellent connections as well as convenient access to local amenities. The plot sits next to the Decoy Country Park, a nature reserve and lake providing opportunities for quiet countryside recreation such as dog walking, wildlife watching, duck feeding and picnics as well as BMX racing and water sports which are provided by the park’s windsurfing and canoe centre.

Keith Carnegie, chief executive officer of Vistry Housebuilding, said: “We are delighted to have completed on such an attractive site in Wolborough, Devon. Its proximity to the Decoy Country Park, the range of local amenities on offer and its excellent transport links, make this a truly desirable place to live.

“Given the strength of demand for our new builds, this latest site of over 700 homes will allow us to deliver much-needed housing, all the while boosting investment and jobs in the region.”

Vistry Group, which also includes Vistry Partnerships, holds a five-star rating award from the Home Builders Federation, following the annual announcement of the industry’s customer satisfaction survey results.
