This webinar will focus on the billion pound transformation of Bolton.

There is a number of towns across Greater Manchester who’re bringing forward major regeneration and development masterplans – but there aren’t many as ambitious as Bolton’s.

They’re taking their first steps forward to delivering their £1bn+ strategic vision and this webinar will bring together to key firsts from the public and private sector who’ll be investing and developing in the town. We’ll hear the latest update on the heart of the project – the revitalisation of Victoria Square which will be the catalyst for unlocking wider growth across the town centre – whilst looking at the wider town regeneration plans.

Speakers for this event include:

• Bolton Council – Bolton Council are the masterminds behind the major regeneration and have spent the past 12 months engaging with the private sector to form development partnerships. As part of this session, Gerry will unveil the timelines for development delivery, procurement opportunities and go into detail about the projects that have been announced.

• Bolton Regeneration – one of the main drivers for regeneration in Bolton, Steve is actively pursuing the development of a number of projects including the £100m Crompton Place scheme which will turn Victoria Square into a hive of leisure and retail activity. As part of this session Steve will give an update on the project and talk about the wider work Midia are doing to cultivate built environment related schemes across Greater Manchester.

• Hive Land & Planning – Justin is a chartered town planner with considerable experience in both local government and private sector planning consultancy. He takes a highly commercial approach having worked for two real estate agencies and on a range of instructions with a development focus.

• Muse – are embarking on delivering a £150m Church Wharf regeneration vision in Bolton town centre as part of their continued commitment to the towns and cities of the North West. As part of this panel Phil will go into detail about the project and future ambitions within the town.

• Bolton at Home – Noel is in the midst of leading Bolton at Home through fast paced development programme aimed at contributing to the borough meeting its ambitious housing targets. As part of this session she will be talking about each forthcoming development and pointing to the rise in using of MMC for their schemes. As Chair of the town’s 2030 Vision board she will also go into depth about various economic growth strategies being implemented.

• Placefirst – are the organisation behind the Central Street development in Bolton which will comprise of 200 new homes and 10,000 sq ft of commercial space. With exciting ambitions to expand operations in the North West and Bolton likely to become a focal point of their priorities, David will go into detail on what the future holds.
